Ithryn Luin 💠

Named after the Blue Wizards, sent to Middle Earth by the Valar in Tolkien’s Unfinished Tales. These wizards were thought to be sent to deal with Sauron, but their story never had a definitive ending. I’ve always liked to think they were successful in their hopes of rallying support for the people of Middle Earth. The deep blue and purple tones of this piece remind me of the colors I imagined their robes to be while I read Tolkien’s text as a child.
